1st Scale-up AlpsCafé @ Lakeside Science & Technology Park, Klagenfurt

The »AlpsCafé« is a common meeting format and is based on the »WorldCafé« methodology. The »WorldCafé« is a simple but effective methodology to boost informal and fruitful conversation.

The KWF is a project partner within the »Scale(up)Alps« project which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg Alpine Space programme. As an objective of the project, the KWF organised workshops for startups and representatives of the Carinthian startup ecosystem with scale-up knowledge in a shape of an »AlpsCafé«. The »AlpsCafé« is a common meeting format and is based on the WorldCafé methodology. The WorldCafé is a simple but effective methodology to boost informal and fruitful conversation. It has also been tested as a technique to stimulate creativity and active participation.

Regarding the »AlpsCafé« at the Lakeside Park in Klagenfurt (Austria): A few start-ups from Carinthia, which want to scale-up their business, pitched in front of three great representatives of the global investors world. After each startup got an honest and in-depth feedback on its business model presentation, the event continued with a discussion with the Carinthian Ecosystem stakeholders to exchange best practices and experiences regarding the topic of scaling-up their business. Of course, coffee and some sandwiches were offered during the AlpsCafé meeting.
